Happy first advent!

So the countdown to Christmas has begun! It was time to light the first candle today. AND, tomorrow it is time to open the first window from the calendar! I can't wait!

I guess I should call it a night so that time would go faster!!

The pictures are taken by one of the kids. I think he'll make a great cat blogger someday!

Let there be light!

The secretary has gone a bit bananas again with the Christmas lights this year. The big one tries to point out something about a higher electricity bill that would be coming, but it doesn't seem to stop her.

Anyhow, I tried to help out, but I think you can guess how it turned out.

I thought my litterbox room could have used some merry Christmas lights, and I tried to take the lights there. The secretary didn't let me, no surprise there. I think she totally lacks the sense of decorating! Guess where she put the lights then?

There... One can barely see them... Well, I should be used to this already I guess. I think I will move the lights to their more appropriate place during night time when she's more busy sleeping than trying to stop me having things my way.

Happy Caturday!!

Happy Friday!

Friday is here, and we are feeling all Christmassy. Is that a word?

The candles are lit, and some Christmas tunes are playing on the background.

Don't worry about the candles, they're fake. My fur wouldn't catch fire even if I would be rolling over them.

Have a great weekend friends!!

High five!

High paw friends! It's almost Friday! Hang in there, we've almost made it to the sweet weekend!!

Also, happy Thanksgiving to all of you who celebrate it! We don't do that here, but that doesn't mean that I couldn't or wouldn't be very thankful for many things, since I am! I'm thankful for my staff, my home, my toys, the kids' toys, the lake cottage, the paradise, the garden, high places, my endless food storage, my own Christmas calendar, my cat tree and of course all of you my dear virtual Friends!

See you again tomorrow!

Oh how nice it is to chill and relax on the sofa! I have also come to terms with the crisis I had yesterday, thanks to your wise comments! Now I believe you are absolutely right, there IS a real Santa, who has a lot of helpers. After all, even the kids have prepared their wish lists in good time, so they have to believe in him after all...

So all is well and peaceful at casa Carlos. Good night!

An existential crisis

Friends, today I have some disturbing news for you... If there are any young kittens online, I suggest you wouldn't read this post! But the rest of you, please brace yourselves..

I've overheard the kids talking about Christmas quite a lot lately. But one thing they said really freaked me out. They we're saying that Santa Claus isn't for real!! WHAT!??!? I can't believe they could even think that would be true! But that is what they claimed!! One of them even said that (a direct quote) "There are just as many Santas out there, as there are Santa costumes for sale on stores"! That sounds like a really, really bad joke to me! Actually it sounds like something the big one might have said, but it was the kids who said it.

I mean, we are living in a country which is the HQ of the real Santa Claus! Our national airline has just announced itself as an official airline of the Santa Claus! So how can someone claim that this fellow doesn't really exist? Also, I have MET the Santa Claus himself last year, he came by our house.

Friends, please tell me the kids were only joking with me, tell me Santa is for real, pretty please! I need to get my presents this year too!

Game over

This Monday was quite kind to us, we're very thankful for that. Anyhow, it's evening already and the kids should go to bed. It doesn't seem to interest them as much as playing ice hockey in their room.

I'm trying to give them meaningful looks to get them understand, but they don't seem to get it.

Well, sooner or later it will be quiet around here. I hope for the sooner.

Have a great beginning of this week!

Winter wonderland

I was let out today! We have some snow, so I was playing around with it.

I climbed on a tree! Well, it's more like a bush... And to be honest, the kid lifted me there.. Well, anyway...

I was riding a sledge! I didn't like it. I jumped off quite fast.

Then I just wandered around in the garden for a while.

Well, the weekend is almost over, let us survive the stupid Monday lurking around the corner...

The secret passage

I have found a secret passage in our kitchen! The secretary was just about in time to take a couple on pictures when I used it.

There, I found it! The secret passage between the kitchen cabinets. I have my head in there already.

Pooff!! Where am I? You can't see me but I'm there!

See? I'm coming out in the other side!

There! I'm out! That was quite exciting and fun!

Happy Caturday!

Too busy

My secretary claims she's too busy to write that much for me today. Or spend time with me. I think she's just making up silly excuses.

Luckily she has hanged this nice little cat toy on the window for me to play with and pass my time while she's running around like a crazy person.

Have a great weekend!

Goodbye stupid palm tree!

I've been meaning to tell you about one of my projects, called how-to-kill-a-palm-tree. I never thought I would finish it so fast, but I guess I was just very efficient!

I did it by sitting in the middle of it, so that the leafs were all bent and broken. I also liked to eat the spiky parts of the leafs, which obviously made me vomit. Usually on the white carpet.

So yesterday the big one had had it with my battle against the palm tree, and moved the plant outside. Do you know how cold it is outside now? Below zero. And do you know what happens for plants when the temperature goes below zero? They die.

The plants don't have anything against me. I will defeat them one by one. The downside is that the secretary is a bit sad, since she really liked the palm tree. It reminded her of the lovely and warm summer. Luckily she still likes me more, otherwise I might be the one stuck outside...

Learning to fly...

I guess my desire to climb high places is sometimes a bit too much... Lately I have enjoyed to climb on the fence of the stairs upstairs.

Like this. I don't know why but I like to be there. (Yes, the safety gate is broken again but the humans are too lazy to fix it again...)

However, yesterday it so happened, that I fell from that fence all the way downstairs...

There. On the floor. You would think I'd learned my lesson? Nope. I still like to go and sit there. I'm a cat, I always land on my feet. And I'm not planning on falling again. There's nothing the humans could do about it either! But I'll be careful, I promise!

Tuesday sweetness

Today I have my secretary ALL for myself for two whole hours! It doesn't happen often, but the rest of the staff, you know the noisy entertainers, went somewhere for a while.

So I have been enjoying this blissful and peaceful time glued onto her, receiving a lot of skritches. Can't complain.

I hope your day has been fun, and that Monday didn't cause you too much misery!

Fast forward

Did someone push the fast forward button for today? It just went by so quickly and without a trace of any memory! I hope to slow down a bit!

I hope you'll have a great week!

Sunday, 16 November 2014

Well, because I'm a cat!

Why do you leave your stupid bread unsupervised! I can't help myself if I see something interesting. I have to examine it! You can just blame yourselves.

Look what the secretary brought me today!! I must have been a very good kitty!

It's an advent calendar for cats!!! You know I'll be having a special snack every single day during December until the Santa comes and brings me MORE good stuff!! This is WAY better than the chocolate calendar the kids have!

Oh merry jingle bells and all that, this years Catmas will be SO cool!

This is pretty much the dazed and confused expression and empty stare in one's eyes, that one might have after a busy week. Luckily now it's time for rest and free time!

Have a happy weekend!!

Me and her

We fight some...

...and then we love some..

That's how we do it.

Strike a pose

Sometimes I choose to please my secretary and agree to pose nicely for her photos. Like the time she took these pictures. If there would be a sound included, you could hear me purring. I guess I sometimes need to make an effort for the blogs sake. The other times I just might attack and bite her camera.

I hope you had or are having a great Tuesday!
